Efficient filter systems are essential to protect expensive and valuable assets downstream of water sources that are usually contaminated with extraneous matter and/or algae. Correct sizing of the filtration units is essential depending on the quality and flow rate of the liquid from the start. The efficacy of a filtration system will refer to the maximum size of particle allowed to pass through the screen or filter medium and is generally referred to in microns (thousands of a millimetre).
